Porsche launches the Cayenne, the new GTS is here

At the auto show in Los Angeles the home of Stuttgart has renewed the big SUV in a "normal" and high performance car

GTS, which is the ultimate in sportiness Porsche. Among the star of upcoming auto show in Los Angeles stands out the revamped Cayenne unveiled to the American public in a "normal" and, of course, GTS.

Recognizable at first sight from the outside thanks to the more muscular look characterized SportDesign package, Turbo front bumper with generous air intakes, side skirts profiles net, wheel arches, roof spoiler and the lower part of the rear bumper, painted the same color body and then again all written, the 20-inch wheels in RS Spyder design, the exhaust pipes, the internal bands of Bi-Xenon headlights and LED rear lights, are black, contrasting colors to create clear, as well the GTS logo on the bottom of the front doors.

Inside, on the other hand stand out in leather and Alcantara sports seats, electrically adjustable 8-position and GTS written on the headrests, while among the options you can choose the pack GTS in Carmine Red or silver rev counter dial with rhodium, decorative stitching, written on the headrests and safety belts in contrasting color.
The designers of Porsche have also refined the performance of the generous twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 engine to provide enhanced driving performance and fuel economy, so much so that over the previous model with naturally aspirated V8 engine, power and torque increase of 20 hp (440 hp) and 85 Nm

(600 Nm), while fuel consumption is 0.9 l / 100 km. The Cayenne GTS just 5.2 seconds (5.1 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package) to shoot from 0 to 100 km / h (0.5 and 0.6 seconds faster than the previous model), while the top speed is 262 km / h. Performance then enhanced by a sports exhaust system that gives the typical and intense sound GTS favorite soundtrack from any "porschista" Doc.

Also of note was the control system of the active PASM Porsche Active Suspension Management, which have a sports and markDown the car by 24 mm, which become 20 mm with the optional air suspension. Complete the gear brake system taken from the Cayenne Turbo with 390 mm front discs (358 mm rear) and brake calipers painted in red Turbo look.
The base Cayenne, with the engine naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 and 300 hp, optimizes performance by taking from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.7 seconds (7.6 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package) and reaches a top speed of 230 km / h. With the other sisters also agrees with the usual range of efficiency measures such as, for example, the function coasting, start-stop and the thermal management system to reduce power consumption of 0.7 l / 100 km over the previous model (9.2 l / 100 km and 215 g / km CO2).

Series are then the new 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission, the Bi-Xenon headlights with daytime running lights four LEDs, multifunction sport steering wheel with paddles and automatic tailgate.
The two new versions can already be ordered from Porsche dealers and will arrive on our roads at the end of February next year at a price of EUR 68 930 for the base rising to EUR 102 480 for the GTS.
